U.S. $1 trillion deficit

I believe that the government raising taxes to pay for the deficit is ridiculous because we are spending valuable money and time on things that we shouldn't be worrying about like for example the war in Iraq. All the money and the big portion of teh US debt is because of that war. Raising the taxes and having each household pays about 8,000 dollars isn't going to work espically for those families who are struggling now to provide for their children and themselves. The future presidents should find a good plan to settle this because this is a very important issue that effects each family in a different way. Clinton was able to stablize the deficit with a surplus and but the debt was still high but we weren't in all this trouble.
