September 11

I believe that it was apprioate that the candidates halted for politics for one day to remember what happen on the tragic day of September 11, 2001. To see both candidates there makes them seem like they are actually real people who care about others, their country reuniting, and each other because every single one of us are affected by this and we all take it differently. I lived in New York during the time of September 11 and my father was in the building right next door to the first tower and he witnessed the building falling in front of him. That day changed my life and gave me new respect for my dad, troops, the police department and the fire department of New York. I will always respect them and appreciate everything that they do to protect us, the American citizens. On the other hand, I have the feeling that people will take this the wrong way and every little thing that the candidates say to reporter will be twisted and turn around to make what they believe false. Obama made a statement saying "the terrorists responsible for the attacks remain at large and "must be brought to justice." and we know McCain has supported the Iraq war and the fact that he has more experience with national security. That is probably one of the discussions everyone is talking about, if the candidates were president during the time of the attack, what would they have done?
